Our Story

EyeCatcher is a small family venture led by me and Chrissy, where every reflector is designed, crafted, and finished by hand in our home workshop - born from a shared love for cycling and a commitment to making every ride safer. Through long events and late-night rides described in our blog, we learned firsthand that visibility isn’t just an accessory—it’s an essential, but often under-considered part of cycling.  

Shaped by Night Riding

We ride by the personal mantra of:  

1. Get home safely  
2. Savor the experience 
3. Go as far and fast as possible

...in that order

Many of our most memorable cycling moments have taken place after dark, from chasing the sunrise in Maine, tackling Hawaii’s Road to Hana, rolling through Chicago’s city lights, or trying to stay awake in the saddle at 3am during Paris-Brest-Paris. Those dark miles inspired us to focus on visibility, pushing us to engineer reflectors that really catch the eye. Each product we release is one we’re proud to use ourselves, standing up to the real-world conditions that dedicated riders face.

Made at Home, Shared with Care

We personally handle every step of production—from 3D printing and laser cutting to applying the highest quality reflective tape. EyeCatcher reflectors are not just about safety; they’re about sharing a bit of the peace of mind we wanted for our own rides. 

More Than a Venture

While we hope EyeCatcher brightens the road for others, it’s also about the satisfaction we get from crafting something meaningful.

Beyond what we sell, we want to get everyone who comes across this website a little more visible on the road.  So, if our products are outside of your means, send us a note and we'll mail some reflective stickers to you, free of charge.
